Preparation guide
Some floors may require additional preparation to get a perfect finish that will last for the lifetime of the product.
You’ll need to clear your room of furniture and any existing flooring. If the floor isn't properly prepared it may affect the finish of your new flooring. It should be smooth, even and dry. It may need screeding or hardboarding your chosen fitters will be able to advise if these options are necessary.
If you see signs of damp on either your flooring or sub flooring it is important to treat and prevent this from coming back in the future.
If you’re going with underfloor heating. Be sure to check that the flooring and underlay is suitable for this. floors that are not suitable for underfloor heating will say so.
